Daily reflection 3-13-24

Good morning my Brothers and Sisters
Today's reflection

Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise.

All authority comes from somewhere and all knowledge comes from somewhere. When we speak we use our knowledge of what we have been taught. This is possible because we have been taught all we know from school, family, life experience, or individual study.

Every person though seems to be pretty programed with the ability to recognize right and wrong. Even a criminal knows when they are being cheated. It is as if every one of us are created from the same foundation.

Well we have. We all are created in the image and likeness of God. This means that every person possess the understanding and capacity of good. When Jesus lived his public life he did so in the fullness of this identity and in his interactions spoke with and through the author of that truth.

When we speak through the truth of Jesus we too tap into the same authority. In us we speak through the authority of Jesus Christ. Jesus makes this possible for us as he has said, "all authority has been given to me by the Father." As we speak the truth we must recognize that with the authority from the Father through the Son comes also great responsibility. We must remain connected through prayer to our Lord Jesus Christ so that it is never pride but rather grace. The Holy Spirit calls us to this relationship and truth. Embrace the truth. Embrace this life of service. Embrace the light. Do not be afraid.

God bless you all and remember that God loves you and so do I. Memento Mori

Good morning my Brothers and Sisters. Today's reflection

"Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them." Matthew 18:15-20

Gathering in Christ's name is submitting to his will. We don't invoke the name of God for selfish purposes, this is taking the Lord’s name in vain. What do you really want? Do you truly want more stuff or is it peace. The peace that comes from knowing and living in harmony with the God of the Universe.

Ask for wisdom, courage, humility, love and it will be given to you. These and other virtues are freely offered knowing that they will bring you closer in relationship with Jesus.

Gather and be yoked with believers. Bind yourself to the truth. Seek the Kingdom of God first. This is the path to eternal life and the adventure of today. Do not be afraid.

God bless you all and remember that God loves you and so do I. Memento Mori

Through the Fire Reflections

Good morning my Brothers and Sisters. Today's reflection

"Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 18:1-5, 10, 12-14

Trusting is not something easily done. Especially for men who seek control or women who have been abused. Today's society has many who struggle with depression and anxiety because in part there is a feeling of hopelessness and fear that the weight of the world is carried by them alone.

When we enter into relationship with Jesus we receive a promise that never fails. A promise that is eternal coming from the source of all love and goodness.

Today is the day to let go of your fear and trust in the Father's plan for your life. Run towards Jesus and never leave his side. Allow the Blessed Mother to comfort you In her embrace. Learn from the Saints who walked this same pilgrimage in life and faced all the fears and doubts...
